Shattered like glass
that's all in the past.
Picked up the pieces
spent time with glue in hand.
As we all know,
that will only hold
Grandmas favorite holiday plate so long
before the jig is up
and it's chipping and cracking
all over the place.
Can't really replace it,
won't be the same.
What to do?
Think outside the box,
follow your heart
placing all your trust in Christ
and you get a whole new team.
Save what you can of what is left
luckily, large chunks,
craft around that,
make it brand new
using the sentimental and recyclable.
Reinforced, renovated,
definitely not what it once was.
Worth much more now,
treasured and appreciated
due to all that went into this creation
that was so worth saving.
