Enough Is Enough

I'm actually not sure where to begin.

I engaged in a conversation recently that left me still really contemplating.  Contemplation is my friend.  I will give fair warning, this content may be a trigger for some folks.

I, personally, dislike pressing 1 for English, pressing 2 for continue, 5 for something else, 1 for yes and 2 for no.  It is nothing personal - it is the whole automated system; "are you kidding me!  REPRESENTATIVE!!!!!"

I am aware there are folks, like my recently had conversation, that find "press 1 for English" some sort of disrespect to them?  I place a question mark there because in all fairness, I doubt they really know why it bothers them or if, in fact, it deeply does even bother them.  Listening and feeling I'm trying to be swayed into agreement or some sort of tirade on the subject, I just continued to listen.  Leading into how we differ on the whole "take a knee" during the national anthem issue.   I am "down with it" and this individual feels opposite my take on the flag being disrespected has nothing to do with the kneeling during the national anthem but more disrespectful to our nation is the injustice and inequality.  However, I respect those who are on the other side of the fence.  Again, I continued to listen as the conversation, swift right to if people come to America, they should dress and act like us.  First, in my head was--what does that even mean???  I am now curious so I raise the issue of diversity.  Quickly explained away with diversity can exist while still respecting the need to conform...and not our conforming to "their ways"...I cannot believe how truly bigoted my "space" is.

This may not seem like much to some however, enough is enough.

The summary of the, I want to say conversation but, it seems too polite was this:  If you come here, to America, you damn well better represent the way we want you to.  You owe us.  You let go of all else; who you are, your language, your culture, your core, your being and you suit up and you join us and you look like us and you better learn our language and stand when our flag is in sight and that anthem plays.  Dress and speak how you choose at home.  These are not my views, beliefs or oh my God anything else...I exited this conversation, not surprised, I have heard this all before, just now am seeing new light, especially in my "space."
Or perhaps, I am actually now hearing what is being said; these are this individual's truths.

These are "truths" I just can not stand for and will not stand with.

I pray, amen.

Soul Warmth

Gloom and rain
Comforting
Nothing pressing to do today
Light and scatter
Candles about
Deep breath
Anxiety to relief
April showers indeed bring May flowers
While
Like chicken soup for a cold
Today warming my soul...

Before You Smash That Wall--STOP!

There is a lot of fear amongst us.  Fear of the unknown.  As soon as one raises real concern, immediate reactions well "you could have or should have" and then the well, I was here or there and couldn't have…point the finger back and defend.
Totally missing the point: HEAR what is said NOT defend.  Not everything is an attack, change is not an attack nor should it need defending.  We are human, it happens, nevertheless--our Faith is based on not knowing everything…

If we, (we being every individual including myself), are so unable to hear when we listen and are so quick to stand guard, defend, we will remain in the state this world is in!  Tearing down walls, building bridges is a hopeful vision, however, I hate to be the bearer of bad news; any fool with tools just can't go around smashing walls:

"Is The Wall Really Load-Bearing?

The first step is to determine whether or not the wall is truly load-bearing. Some contractors and construction crews wrongfully assume all of their walls are load-bearing, but this simply isn't true. In a typical residential floor plan, you can expect the walls running closest to the interior are load-bearing, and tearing them down without first replacing this support will result in unsound structural integrity.
So, how do you know for sure if a wall bears some of the building's weight? Rather than using your best judgment, you should refer to the architectural blueprints. This will reveal important information about the structure, including which walls are load-bearing and which ones aren't. Walls that aren't load-bearing are known as partition walls, simply because they separate areas of the home or building. Partition walls are much easier to remove, and you don't have to worry about jeopardizing the structure’s integrity.
In order to safely remove a load-bearing wall, you'll need to construct a new support to take over its job. Do some research to locate a professional architect in your area and give them a call for a quote on designing a wall replacement. Some architects work in conjunction with builders, taking care of all the necessary work.
A professional architect will inspect the structure to determine the best course of action for replacing the load-bearing wall. Something as simple as a column or two strategically constructed inside the home or building might be enough to hold the weight. Other times, however, a full wall might be necessary to replace the load." Fear of not knowing everything...a powerful weapon, more powerful than a finger that pulls a trigger or hands that swing a sledge hammer without proper understanding…

Grab a Shovel, Spade or Spoon or...

To the days when it was okay to go outside and dig a hole. Just decide I wanna dig a hole and a hole was dug.

If questions were asked; "what's ya doing?" Digging a hole was acceptable! "Where ya digging to?" I don't know was acceptable! "You'll dig yourself to China soon" was encouraging and comfortable. No one worrying about this hole in the middle of the yard, or why this hole was in the middle of the yard, no one worrying what the passers by thought.

Prayers for hole digging mentality and encouragement, prayers for finding and reclaiming our inborn innocence.
We are all God's children and it takes a village...

Dig Deep.

Just(ice) How Righteous

Passion for justice & peace vs. righteous anger:

To be angry causes a chain reaction of disharmony.
To be peaceful causes a chain reaction of love.

anger = chaos
peace = calm

With Lent approaching, as well as, ongoing presidential debates, Lord, let us watch our tones and tongues.  Within The Spirit of true grace and redemption absolute, I pray these things. Amen.

"The aim of God in history is the creation of an all-inclusive community of loving persons, with Himself included in that community as its prime sustainer and most glorious inhabitant."

"Be Still"

"Compassion Fatigue"

As I've been resting and tending myself, I realize many things...I feel the biggest or the one most come

back to in many things is;  "be still and know that I am God."

Be still in speech sometimes - I am feeling is probably the most peace we can not only use BUT offer.

(really not all that Prophetic more Proverbial)

Sometimes things said could be better stated by just being still with them...

Freedom of speech is an earthy right,

Freedom to choose fool or wise is Heavenly!

Everything is a carrier of Peace ...

Be still and know that I am God = Be still and know I am Peace.  Peace = Love.  I am Love.

Love is kind and gentle.  Love does not envy or boast.

More Love shall ripple into this New Year now that Peace has been birthed - Christ the Savior is born!

And yes, being still and yes, knowing God is God is really, with minimal effort on my part, helping me not

only rest and recover, though greater than that actually 'feel' and 'live' that very Stillness, that very

Love, that is our God.

Holy God, as we enter into another new year may we reevaluate the importance of "be still" in more than

just action...Amen!

CHRISTmas Everyday

Christmas Everyday

People fear love,
people don't fear sex as much,
people fear, love.
Especially God's Love
manifested humanly.

     Christ the Flow

Moving us into communities of God's Love;

stirs up heart and soulful things
not groin and loin--
tingling from head to feet
in this place
filled with You.

It is about Love:

Human
Transient
Temporary

     Christ the Bridge

Spiritual
Everlasting
Permanent

     Christ the Messiah

Keeping us close;

sharing on another level,
quiet and service and gratitude--
purest of pure, truest of true,
love,

God's Love, Christmas everyday.
