In Anticipation

It's as if I'm on the outside looking in

Appearance of thick skin

Unwavering fidelity

Every tear that falls

     Testing me

how long, O' Lord, how long

As the rose a gift to the thorn                                              

Pleasure and pain coexist

Who am I to question why

But a fool shall hastily pluck

     Disciplining me

Lovelier a bouquet

Patiently enduring day to day

Leaving all be trusting in Thee

Bearing hope until the day

     In anticipation, waiting

heavy-laden 'tis this heart of mine
deeply troubled, my soul

head-shit gets so out of control
Mother Nature, on steroids

yellow tape, "Disaster Area"                            

yep, 'twas I who ripped through
her(e), head in hands

in Jesus Christ we are forgiven
thanks be to God, however

if I may be so bold
I am so sorry I hurt you, I pray daily...

The tingling, warm feelings in my chest

like at any given moment my heart will burst out from within.

Fighting to keep my eyes open, when I am not even tired

with every eyelid flutter more soothing than the other.

Peace is~
No matter time or place, the you-ness of you existing comfortably, almost weightlessly

aware, yet, without a worry or care.

Individuality showcased, each twinkling flake of snow
as street lights, night sky, heighten the snow globe effect
amongst the not so long ago
trees engulfed by a multitude of fiery red orange colors
now barren, covered, glistening
angelically
as you stand taking it all in.

Magical delight, as if seeing for the first time
picturesque postcard views
with every blink of the eye
so much so, taking your breath away--
repeatedly.

Effortlessly, peacefully, gracefully,
changing directions
branches keeping time you are lost in...

New Growth...

Majestically beautiful--
wonderment and awe
beyond minds comprehension
volcanic eruption
awakening of the heart.

Muse-like.
Complementary.
Every deed,
action,
Word; spoken/unspoken.
Deep seeded connection
worth every bit of modest investment

for healthy growth

cultivate honestly and purely
reap what you sow.

Firmly planted, tended to,
weathering even the worst of storms
perhaps, some damage
time to time.
Scars, grown over
proving stronger reinforcement...

New growth can happen, even when things appear bleak...
